    FIDM Campus and Major: Los Angeles, International Manufacturing & Product Development (IMPD)

    Previous college experience: Merchandise Product Development AA degree from FIDM San Francisco

    How did you choose FIDM and your major? A desire learn about the global side of fashion. As a student in IMPD, I learn how to forecast, research, design products and produce a line under the guidance of an industry mentor brand: Cherokee. As students, we get the chance to travel and learn about international markets and the businesses that populate them. With this experience, I plan to complete a degree in Business Management and move to Europe, in no particular order!

    My story is about the crazy and amazing life of being a student in FIDM's IMPD program. I hope to pass along the wonderful experiences and things we learn along the way. Enjoy!

Holiday Denim... Festive or Too Far?

It's hard to find anything that is not made of denim When the equally ubiquitous holiday spirit collides denim fabric some crazy creations happen.  Some transform denim into wonderful items that are useful for countless years and others make you cringe.  Here is a sample of what's out there.
