FIDM Students Compete in Bisou Bisou Runway Your Way Contest

Picture 1 Bisou Bisou, jcpenney, and FIDM challenged a group of student designers to create runway style for today’s modern women. Led by Michele Bohbot, creator and designer of Bisou Bisou, the competition was narrowed down to four finalists and they need your help choosing which student will win the $2,000 scholarship!

To cast your vote for FIDM Students Jon Rosario, Jenna Goldberg, Jenny McClain, and Alyse Guercia, just post the name of your favorite designer in the Moderator box at jcpenney's YouTube Channel. Voting continues through June 15. You can also watch the student videos while you are there.

FIDM San Diego Students Compete for Charity

PrincessPoject4692 Riviera Magazine has coverage of the seven FIDM Fashion Design Students who participated in a live draping competition to benefit the Princess Project, which provides prom dresses to low-income teens. Jake Avila (pictured, at right) won the judges over with his Black Swan-inspired gown.

Digital Media Grads Create Trailer For "Alice In Wonderland"

 During the Super Bowl you may have seen the trailer for Tim Burton's upcoming Alice In Wonderland film starring Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway. We're pleased to report that Digital Media Graduate Justin Hamilton worked on this exciting project at Create Advertising. Justin works with a fellow FIDM Alumnus Jonathan Gitlin, who is Create's Creative Director of Motion Picture Graphics.

FIDM Merchandise Marketing Grad Jill Ohanneson is the Costume Designer for CBS's new show Swingtown, set in the 1970s and brought to us by the creators of The OC. Watch this video for a behind-the-scenes look at costume design for the show. Jill, who also worked on Six Feet Under, has been nominated for three primetime Emmys. --Kim
