FIDM Grad is General Manager of New Streets of Beverly Hills Store

HMX-Groups-Streets-Of-Beverly-Hills-5Alumnus Richard Villaluz has been working for HMX Group's menswear brands, such as Hickey Freeman and Bobby Jones, for 10 years. The company recruited him to open their latest retail concept, Streets of Beverly Hills, a 2,000 square-foot emporium housing all of its men's lines, including Coppley and Palm Beach.

"We're a cross between modern and classic and we have a lot of exclusive garments," says Richard, who notes that their made-to-measure services only take seven to 21 days. "There's nothing like New York retail, but when they approached me with the opportunity to come back to L.A. I had to say yes." The shop is like a retail labratory of sorts where new products may be tested.

What's New, What's Hot: Jimmy Choo Icons & Uniqlo Flagship

Jimmy Choo Icons - MarleneTo commemorate its 15th anniversary, Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon has introduced a capsule collection of shoes inspired by several of the most popular styles from the label's archives. Japanese fashion chain Uniqlo feted the grand opening of its newest and largest flagship store Uniqlo NYC flagshipin NYC last Thursday with a huge party that drew some 1,600 guests, including a bevy of celebrities and New York's Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The store, an enormous 89,000 square feet, is located on the city's stylish Fifth Avenue.

Considered the Gap of Japan, Uniqlo is known and loved for selling reasonably-priced, casual fashion, and, despite having neighbors like luxury brands Tiffany & Co., Bergdorf Goodman, and Louis Vuitton, the new flagship is no exception.
