Here are the first available runway pix from last weekend's fabulous FIDM Debut 2008 Fashion Show! Each year, the Debut show features designs by our Graduating Students in the Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design Advanced Study Programs, plus work from our Interior Design, Textile Design, and Digital Media Students. There are special preview Fashion Shows for High School Students and Instructors and a Gala Event for Industry Members.

Verrieres & Sako Debut Fall Line

Verrieres & Sako recently debuted their Fall Collection in Washington D.C. Pictured is Guiliana Rancic, host of E! News, in Verrieres & Sako's double collar suit dress. Stephanie Verrieres and Kimie Sako are '04 Fashion Design Program Grads from FIDM's San Francisco Campus. Last year they were dubbed a "Fresh Face in Fashion" by GenArt. --Kim

FIDM Students Help Make L.A. Fashion Week Happen

It may look effortless, but it takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to make a Fashion Show run smoothly--and imagine coordinating dozens of shows in a single week! FIDM Students got to learn firsthand how it all happens when they volunteered at the recent Spring 2008 shows for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios. Volunteer Coordinator Danielle Thomas of IMG/Action Sports writes, "All of your students were incredibly helpful, patient, and fun to be around.  They also dealt with the fast-paced and stressful aspect of the event very well. This event would not have been a success without your students." --Kim
