Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising whiz kid in Los Angeles,
and designer extraordinaire from Israel, Yotam Solomon's resume is as
notable as his passport considering his tender 20 years.
Even more impressive, Solomon's knack for the avant-garde and a
wise-beyond-his years understanding for colour combine that which
designers twice his age often lack."

It may look effortless, but it takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to make a Fashion Show run smoothly--and imagine coordinating dozens of shows in a single week! FIDM Students got to learn firsthand how it all happens when they volunteered at the recent Spring 2008 shows for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios. Volunteer Coordinator Danielle Thomas of IMG/Action Sports writes, "All of your students were incredibly helpful, patient, and fun to be around. They also dealt with the fast-paced and stressful aspect of the event very well. This event would not have been a success without your students." --Kim
