Weekend one of the 2013 Coachella Music Festival came to an end of Sunday. Day 3 of the desert extravaganza was less flashy than Day 1 and 2. Plaids, vintage concert tees, and plenty of stripes were spotted, but overall, Sunday had a more subdued feel.
Joshua Jackson and Diane Druger (pictured above) kept it casual in dark denim and shorts. The actress and Karl Lagerfeld favorite accessorized with a stylish leopard bag.
Alexander Skarsgard went for shades of dark blue, classic Wayfarer frames, and white sneakers.
Austin Butler and Vanessa Hudgens (wearing a high slit tie-dye skirt) attended Armani Exchange's Neon Carnival on Saturday night and blended in with the crowd on Sunday.
Thousands of music lovers have descended upon the desert for the two-weekend music and arts festival, Coachella, in Indio, California. Known for its creative, boho fashion as much as its amazing lineup of bands (Day 1 featured shows from the Stone Roses, Blur, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Jurassic 5, Band of Horses, Beach House, and many others), Coachella is a place where trends are born.
From tie dye and short shorts to crop tops and prints, there was no shortage of funky fashion on Day 1. One of the biggest trends to emerge was the floral headpiece. There were fresh flowers bands (wilting in the 90-plus degree weather), DIY faux versions, and intricate woven crowns of flora and fauna.

On last night's finale of American Idol, past winner Jordin Sparks wore a stunning silver MIA gown by Kevan Hall for her duet with contestant Hollie Cavangh. The exciting evening concluded with Phillip Phillips being announced as the latest Idol winner.
A high point of the finale was when Jennifer Holliday sang her famed "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" with finalist Jessica Sanchez. The original Dreamgirl donned a olive silk chiffon gown with oxidized beading by the L.A.-based designer.
Coachella, the wildly popular music festival in Indio, California, always draws Hollywood's hottest stars thanks to its mix of amazing performances and fashion parties. From cropped tops and shorts to stylish brims and floral prints, Coachella's Weekend 1 (Weekend 2 begins April 20th) featured plenty of spring fashion.
It was all about short shorts in the desert this past weekend. Kate Bosworth chose a black pair for the Mulberry party at the Parker Palm Springs, while Rihanna rocked out in a pair of studded denim shorts.
Stars like Vanessa Hudgens (pictured), Katy Perry, and Paris Hilton went boho chic with floral headbands, cropped tops and eye-catching prints.
And everyone from former FIDM Student Lauren Conrad (here with Lea Michele) to Emma Watson topped their Coachella looks off with hats that looked chic and protected them from the harsh sun.

FIDM Apparel Industry Management Alumna Cheesa Laureta is on NBC's hit show The Voice tonight! The 21-year-old Honolulu native moved to Los Angeles at age 15, and has been passionate about pursuing a singing career.

Visual Communications Alumna Lynze "Lulu" Radzyminski just landed a position on the wardrobe team for Rihanna's LOUD tour. Her travels begin this week in the South, followed by the East Coast and then Barbados.
"From Barbados we travel all over the world!" Lynze exclaims. "I will be out of the country from August until December. It's been a crazy and wonderful year already, I have been blessed a million times over in my career."

Theatre Costume Design Graduate Mikael Sharafyan created the stunning costumes for the video "Disasteroid" by the band Friend Slash Lover.FIDM Graduate Marcie Booth, who is the Facilities and Operations Manager at The GRAMMY Museum at L.A. Live, recently worked on an exciting project for The White House, which was hosted by President and Mrs. Obama in honor of Black History Month. "It was truly a memory I won't forget anytime soon," says Marcie of In Performance at The White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement, a concert that recently aired on PBS. Look for Marcie's name in the end credits!
