Beauty Entrepreneur Poppy King Visits FIDM's LA Campus
Last week the FIDM Museum Store hosted the inimitable beauty biz entrepreneur Poppy King for a reading of her book Lessons of a Lipstick Queen: Finding and Developing the Great Idea that Can Change Your Life. Later that evening, Poppy joined FIDM Beauty Industry Merchandising & Marketing Grads for a networking event.
Poppy launched her lipstick line at age 18 and successfully pitched it to buyers at the high-end department store Barney's, which still carries her products. Just launched: a gorgeous lip stain with the moniker Medieval and Black-Tie Optional, a shade inspired by sheer black stockings. --Kim
