Graphic Design Alumna Is Grateful For Her Full Plate

Graphic Design Alumna Allyssa Perez discovered her love of design at age nine, when she created a music magazine called Smash, from cover to cover. Her godfather Keith Holman, who designed for Michael Jackson and Dolly Parton, suggested that Allyssa consider FIDM. "When I got back home I looked up FIDM and instantly fell in love," she says. "The teachers are all working professionals who know what's happening in the industry at the moment."

Allyssa, who now works as a Graphic Designer at North Coast Medical, says that FIDM prepared her for challenging clients and tight deadlines. She loves music and has recently designed merchandise for the band Issues, and is in the process of designing a new website for her company. "My plate is full and then some, but I am extremely blessed and grateful to do what I love," she adds.
