Instructor & Fashion Sketch Expert Nancy Riegelman Speaks to Fashion Industry Club

Students in FIDM's AATCC Fashion Industry Club were treated to a lunchtime guest lecture on Monday from popular FIDM Instructor Nancy Riegelman, a noted fashion sketch expert and author of 9 Heads: A Guide to Drawing Fashion. Nancy spoke on finding inspiration and offered tips on how to research a topic.

"I came to the lecture today because I was interested in finding new sources for inspiration," said Fashion Design major Jessica Daix. "I love the way Nancy finds inspiration and it made me think deeper about how I'm looking at little things and expounding on them. I'm exploring the overalls trend--the history of it and how it's coming back again--in my fashion seminar class and I'll use the information from this lecture in my research."
