FIDM Alumna Mona May Featured on Style Section L.A.

Acclaimed costume designer Mona May (Clueless, Enchanted), who studied Fashion Design at FIDM, is featured on Style Section L.A. in a story that focuses on her love of accessories such as fedoras, feathers, and gloves.

“I’ve loved hats since I was a little girl,” says May, who grew up in Berlin and Warsaw before moving to Los Angeles. “I always feel like when you put a hat, on you step into a magical world. You feel different, mysterious. It can be anything, a newsboy, a fedora—anything but a baseball cap.”

FIDM Admissions Staffer Tenley Molzahn Looking For Love On ABC's The Bachelor

4e77a954d2936f904c74eaf105412e3e ABC's The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love premiered on January 4, 2010, featuring FIDM OC Admissions staff member Tenley Molzahn as one of the 25 contestants. Competing for the love of Texas commercial pilot Jake Pavelka, Tenley won the first kiss and the first impression rose on the first episode.

FIDM interview pic She's only 16, but Danielle Heer knows that she wants an exciting career in Graphic Design. She'll begin her studies in Fall 2010 at the San Francisco campus.

"I come from a small town and I've been doing Graphic Design for four years, specializing in abstract, but I have fun doing anything. I work for a software company called Alight, doing design and video work. I'm also into makeup artistry, video production, fashion, surreal art, and music. I'm outgoing and I love to meet other artists. I'm always wearing stilettos."

FIDM's Bachelor of Science Program Extended to San Francisco Campus

We're pleased to announce that FIDM's Bachelor of Science in Business Management Program, which is currently offered on our Los Angeles campus, will be available on the San Francisco campus beginning in July 2010. The program teaches business technologies, human resources, an understanding of global issues, and organizational and leadership techniques. Students who have completed an A.A. degree at FIDM may apply.

Interview With Just Accepted FIDM Student Amanda Oquendo

PC310653 Future Apparel Manufacturing Management Student Amanda Oquendo will begin her studies in Fall 2010.

"If I can figure out the campus by my first quarter I will be a happy camper. I am just interested in seeing the microcosm of the apparel world and the things you never think about when buying a dress off a sale rack. Right now the only things I know are from books; it will be nice to actually learn it from a class."
