FIDM Instructor Jurors Museum Exhibition

Amsterdam_museum_announces_artist_2 Mary Kay Stoltz, Creative Director of FIDM's Film & TV Costume Design Advanced Study Program, is the juror for the Palm Spring Museum's 2008 Artist Council Juried Exhibition. FIDM Instructor Curates "The Purse and the Person" Exhibition

FIDM Instructor Javier Cordon and fellow curators of the The Purse and the Person: A Century of Women's Purses explore that very question in an exhibition currently on view at the Pasadena Museum of History. Featuring over 3,000 purses and accessories, the exhibition explores both the evolution of handbags over the last century and how the accessory reflected its owner, whether she was an "Edwardian matron" or a late 20th century "superwoman." FIDM Merchandise Product Development Student Lauren Conrad beat out Karl Lagerfeld and Marc Jacobs (#2 and #3, respectively) for the top spot on Radar Magazine's "Fashion's New Power Posse" list.
