FIDM Grad Designs $850k Dress for CMA Award Winner

American Idol star and Country Music Association Award Winner  Carrie Underwood wore "major bling" by her favorite designer, FIDM Grad David Rodriguez, at last night's CMA Awards ceremony.  Click on the photo at left for a closer look at the gown, which featured just under 800 diamonds. It was created in partnership with Kwiat Diamonds and will be auctioned off via GottaHaveIt.com. Proceeds will go to Underwood's favorite charitable organizations, including the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

It's been an exciting month for Rodriguez: Last week we reported that he made Hispanic Business magazine's "100 Most Influential Hispanics" list. Congratulations, David!
